Just five minutes’ from the British Museum and within easy walking distance of Covent Garden and the theatre district, this fine example of neo-Georgian architecture was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1929. The interiors have been recently refurbished by acclaimed interior designer Martin Brudnizki – historic architectural features have been faithfully restored and accented with a modern, colourful aesthetic. The vibrant ‘Grand Salon Bar’ The Coral Room is inspired by the glamour of the 1920s and adorned with five bespoke Murano glass chandeliers. Beneath the hotel is the atmospheric Bloomsbury Club, replete with plush leather chairs, dark wood-panelling and regular live jazz performances. There are 153 stylish bedrooms including 12 spacious suites, all with marble bathrooms.
