Built on Gozo’s highest point, the Ta’ Cenc has magnificent views across to the islands of Malta and Comino. It has a peaceful setting in 160 hectares of gardens and countryside.
All 74 rooms, suites, bungalows, trulli and family apartments are simply furnished and have a terrace or a small private garden. For lunch and dinner, the ‘Il Carrubo’ restaurant offers Italian cuisine, along with Gozitan and international dishes. A scenic terraced snack bar has superb views of the archipelago, and in the evenings pianists and guitarists play live music. There are two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is for children and an excellent spa with a heated pool. The beach club is located in the fjord inlet of Mgarr ix-Xini, and has a bar and grill restaurant. Access to the sea is from the rocks. Whilst not the most luxurious hotel on Gozo, the Ta' Cenc does offer a wonderful location and excellent value for money. Closed 6 January – 6 February.
