Within the walls of the Imperial City, just around the corner from Djema El Fna square, the Royal Mansour is designed to feel like its own exclusive Medina. Guests are booked not into a single room but a sumptuous private riad, ranging from one to four bedrooms and set on three floors. There are 53 such houses in total set around the lush, landscaped gardens, which are dotted with fountains and pools and overlooked by the peaks of the Atlas Mountains. The extensive spa includes an opulent hammam and heated swimming pool. There are four restaurants, ‘Sesamo’ serving Italian cuisine, ‘Le Jardin’ erving Asian and Japanese cuisine, ‘La Grande Brasserrie’ and the pinnacle being ‘La Grande Table Marocaine’ with its fine dining take on local favourites.
