Bab Ourika has a majestic setting on a plateau in the Ourika Valley and offers wonderful sunsets and panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, traditional Berber hamlets and lush river valleys, yet is only 45 minutes from Marrakech. It is constructed from compacted earth and is one of the country’s most eco-friendly properties. All 28 bedrooms are decorated in rustic style, have wonderful views and some have terraces and fireplaces. You can dine on the garden terrace or in the colonnaded restaurant and pass your time enjoying a book and a drink in one of the cool internal courtyards or by the secluded swimming pool (heated in winter). Walking, trekking and horse riding can be arranged as well as visits to local horticultural farms. Due to the rugged terrain around the Kasbah, access is by 4x4 vehicle.
