Rosa was once a Dutch “Clipper” barge, built to carry cargoes on the offshore waterways of Holland. The wide beam of these former working vessels makes them ideal for conversion into comfortable hotel barges and today Rosa navigates the canals of southwest France including Bordeaux and Gascony. She also featured alongside Anjodi in the successful television series, Rick Stein’s French Odyssey.There are four cosy staterooms with either double or twin bed configurations, all with individual air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. The wood-panelled saloon includes comfortable seating, a dining area and bar, the perfect setting for enjoying the delicious cuisine and excellent wines served on board. Outside there is a spacious sun deck with a dining area and parasols for enjoying an al fresco lunch, as well as comfortable loungers and eight bicycles for venturing into the next village along the towpath.
