Short Break
In contrast to the former working vessels which carry passengers on the waterways of France, La Bella Vita is a purpose-built small river cruiser. She can accommodate 20 passengers in two upper deck junior suites and eight lower deck staterooms, all air-conditioned and with en-suite private bathrooms. There is an inviting bar area for a glass of local Prosecco, as well as a spacious dining room with louvre doors that are opened to the warm evening air in the summer and offer panoramic views as you enjoy delicious long lunches. The vast sun deck with a large canopy and comfortable loungers is the perfect place to enjoy the scenery drift by as you cruise gently through the Venetian Lagoon, River Po and Canal Bianco between Venice and the lakeside Renaissance city of Mantua.
On board you will be well looked-after by the professional crew and served simply-prepared delicious Italian specialities and wines from the local area. As well as seeing Venice from the water – the way it was built to be seen – you will travel through some of northern Italy’s most beautiful and unspoiled natural environments including wild sand dunes and pine woods full of birdlife. Highlights include guided tours of the fascinating art cities of Ferrara, Mantua and Chioggia – with a history of Renaissance, Roman, Etruscan and Byzantine civilisation.
