Short Break
It is a nature lover’s paradise made up of fynbos bush vegetation and Milkwood forests and offers guests a unique opportunity to discover the wonders of the Cape’s beautiful flora and fascinating marine life. The reserve has over 1,000 species of wild flowers as well as a host of animals such as porcupine, bush buck and lynx. Accommodation is either in the original Garden Lodge, which consists of 11 stone and wood cottages or the more contemporary Forest Lodge which has 16 free-standing suites. Both lodges offer views of Walker Bay and have spacious public areas as well as large wooden decks with swimming pools. Food is a major element of the experience and the five course dinners usually include locally caught fish. The majority of activities are included (see below) but for an extra charge, scenic flights, beach rides and whale watching by boat can be arranged.
