Staying for three nights in Naples you’ll have time to explore nearby Pompeii and Herculaneum and to visit the magnificent Archaeological Museum where many of the most impressive finds from both sites are exhibited. A 50 minute ferry journey will then take you across the Gulf of Naples to the famous isle of Capri for three nights – the atmosphere of this tiny, yet spectacularly beautiful island is best appreciated in the warm evenings after the day-trippers return to the mainland. Finally, cross by ferry to Positano, perhaps the most dramatically situated town in Italy, for a further three nights.
