The Parador of Jaén is part of the castle, dramatically situated on the Santa Catalina hill, 800 metres above this charming small town. Refurbished in 2020, the accommodation is in what were once the castle stables, and guests can enjoy the grand public areas including an impressive vaulted ceiling in the main hall, stone arches and chandeliers.

Just 30 minutes by train from Seville (45 minutes by car), the small city of Carmona is an ancient Roman settlement with a dramatic location overlooking the surrounding plains of Andalusia. There are more than 500 archaeological sites in the area, and the Parador itself is located in the centre of Carmona, close to the Puerta de Sevilla, the Teatro Cerezo and the Town Hall.
