Located in the centre of Nice is the National Museum Marc Chagall, inaugurated in 1973 as the first national museum dedicated to a living artist. From 8 February - 5 May 2025, the museum hosts the exhibition Chagall 1966-1985. Dans la lumière de Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

The exhibition is dedicated to the mature stage of Chagall’s career, where he lived in Saint-Paul-de-Vence from 1966 to the end of his life in 1985. It was during this period that Chagall produced the majority of the lithographs of his career- a notable 662 out of 1101. Despite being in his later years, Chagall undertook many significant projects during this period, including the creation of the Marc Chagall National Museum. Chagall 1966-1985. In the light of Saint-Paul-de-Vence exhibits 148 of the lithographs that he made during this period, exhibited alongside his paintings, tapestries and stained glass.

The National Museum Marc Chagall is open from Wednesday - Monday, 10:00 - 13:00 & 14:30-17:00. Closed Tuesday.
