Andrew read Modern History at Oxford and enjoys travelling slowly, particularly in central Europe and Mexico, with time to absorb the local history, art, architecture, music and food (bread baking is a side interest).

He first visited the Czech Republic in the early post-Communist years, when it was the definition of a far-away country and his interest was immediately hooked. Over the years he has developed his knowledge and led tours to Prague and beyond.
